On Hit: When this weapon kills a creature of CR 1/2 or higher, its soul is bound to the blade. The weapon can hold up to 3 souls at a time.
Activated: As a bonus action, expend 1 charge to summon a spectral shade of a stored soul. It uses the Ghost stat block (MM p.147), acts on your initiative, obeys your commands, and vanishes after 1 minute or when reduced to 0 HP.
On Hit: The target must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or take an additional 1d6 necrotic damage as the blade's bound souls claw at their life force.
Passive: While attuned, you have darkvision out to 60 feet and advantage on saving throws against being frightened.
On Natural 1: On a natural 1, one bound soul escapes the blade screaming; it attacks the nearest creature (including you) for 1 round before dispersing.
