Deployment: Requires 2 crew (gunner + systems operator), a class-IV power core, and 2 full rounds to initialize ion ring calibration. Compatible with tank turret rings, airframe hardpoints, or fortified ground bases.
The Ionized Plasma Cyclone Mk-VII fires 8 simultaneous plasma rounds per turn, each ionized through a mounted ring array for amplified damage. Base attack roll: +8 to hit. On a hit, deal 6d10 plasma damage plus 2d6 ion bonus damage (from Ion Ring Amplification). The turret holds 4 plasma shurikens and 4 ion shurikens for close-range engagements (Shuriken Volley action). Shurikens do not benefit from the ion ring. The turret requires 85 energy units per turn of sustained fire and has a 2000-round plasma cell capacity. Reloading takes 3 full rounds and requires the systems operator. If the power core drops below class-III output, the ion ring deactivates and bonus damage is lost until restored.
